I picked up one in decent shape for a possible build. Are these generally considered safe and and strong enough for modern high pressure cartridges? I am thinking a 416Taylor or maybe a 416 Ruger. Is this reasonable or just plain dumb? Opinions appreciated. Thanks Rick DRSS

Rick, just for fun, can you supply more information? Is the crest gone? Is it marked Brno? Was it Russian arsenal refinished? Was it produced 1938 to 1942 when the Germans took over? What do you know of its recent history? I'm very pro Czech not that it matters.
