| .700 to .750 works, but you might want a thicker shank (1.3) if you want a lighter end |

| thanks guys, i sent out a ruger stainless 338 to get rebarreled to a 458 and they said the contour#3 would be the way to go with a ruger action and the specs say at 26in barrel the diameter is .700 but my barrel will be 23in. hope this works. |
