I am not sure if my PM of 24 March 07 reached you. Your subsequent postings have answered my questions about the CZ550. I am still interested, however, in these sights and hope they would fit left handed M98 / FN Mauser clones as well as modern rendition of the Mauser action like Empire Rifles etc. | |||

PM sent. edit: I just spoke with Ray at Empire and the standard mauser cocking peice fits their rifle, so... Yes this sight will fit on an Empire action. Still working on Dakota. edit again: Robthom, I'm going to put my reponce to your PM here too. Basically this should fit on any rifle that leaves the cocking peice exposed by (.095")2.4 mm or more with the sriker in the fired position. If the cocking peice itself can not be dovetailed, an adaptor plate could be fitted. I believe this was mentioned by another member, but I can't find the post. A plate with a rim (to keep it centered on the cocking piece during soldering) was soldered the rear of the cocking piece and it was also retained by two small screws at 12 and 6 o'clock, then the face of the adaptor was dovetailed to accept the sight. On a side note, this is probably the best way to attach one to a Ruger MKII as well. Rusty's Action Works Montross VA.
