Nothing on the Barnes site and I sent them a request for loading data. No answer. So, I'm asking here. Has anyone loaded this bullet? With what?

Try RL-15 to 75 grains and seat them deep -- to last driving band.

Good luck. I tried them with a variety of powders and could not get them to group.
Finally gave up.

I'm running 75 grains RL15 with a 250-grain GMX and hitting 2810fps. I'm .020 off the lands. I suspect the TSX would be very similar.

My step-son wants to go to Texas to hunt a Nilgai. I thought that this bullet would work great. Besides, I found a box of them in my "stash". Second choice would be the 260gr. AB.
.375 H&H and hunt the world.

I will have to look but my best results have been with 235 grain Barnes "X" Flat Base out of my .375 on different game.

Barnes Bullets says that of the Hogdon extreme powders that Varget works best. I tried 71, 71.5 and 72 gr. Winchester case, Wolf LR Mag primer and the 250 TTSX Three shot groups at 100 yards. They all shot 1" triangle groups. It started to rain so no Chronograph. The 72 grain load also works with the 260 AB. Probably should not mess with success.

My 375H&H love them.

Inch or smaller at 100m if I do my part from the bench.

They run right at 2600fps.

But I load with South African Somechem powder.

I'm using 81 gr Win 748 (one grain more than the max in the Barnes book for their 270gr tsx) getting right at 2900 fps. groups just a little outside an inch. Seated in last groove, and also the next one. No difference in accuracy there. Have not hunted them yet. Funny thing, I almost gave up on Barnes bullets. then just for kicks I started going closer to the lands. Now have three rifles that shoot them well at .010 off the lands

seat em deep .. like the manual used to say.. start at -0.065 off

that is the secret to barnes bullets

The Barnes manual Number 4 says

235 grain TSX - Reloader 15 - 73.5 to 80.5 grains

270 grain TSX - Reloader 15 - 70 to 77 grains

Split the difference.

Summer time here is usually in the 50's and 60's. So long ago I decided to use only temperature insensitive powders as with the Hogdon extreme powders. That way I can go to Texas or Florida or South Africa as I've been known to, and not be concerned about my loads at 90+ degrees. It's worked well for me. Although, I have never experienced a problem with using 4064 that I used with the old style 270 gr. Nosler partitions. They worked well, but I ran out of them and I thought that the Barnes would just be fun to try. For Africa, I only take 300 grain bullets.

Tag. I had been working these up as well in my M70 Safari Express. I'll see what I ended up with and report back.

I just got a box of these that I won in an internet contest. I'm going to have to see how they work.

They have always shot good in my guns, and their is no such thing as bullet failure in the .375 H&h, only poor shooting.

I settled on 71.5/Varget. 2640 f/s from my 21"barrel. Sighted in at 2" high at 100yds. Loaded the remaining bullets and now I will take them on my upcoming Nilgai hunt. I got the AB's going close to 2700 f/s with H4895 but the Barnes didn't like that powder so much.

Avg speed is 2600fps

Although I have had good luck with the 250 Barnes bullets on African PG, in a .375 I would prefer the 270 and 300 gr. bullets in a .375...otherwise given my druthers I would prefer to shoot 250 gr. bullets in a .338 Win.

I feel the same in shooting 200 gr. bullets in the .338, I would prefer to shoot 200 gr. bullets in a 300 Win. mag.

I believe this gives the bullet of those weights more sectional density and the ability to hold their velocity better at longer ranges, and most of all you get better penetration IMO. This applies greatly to cup and core and partition type bullets, but it also applies to monolithics contrary to some folks belief and some cleaver advertisement.
