People interested in a big bore single shot project should look at your excellent 550 Express.

I think you may have meant the 550 Flanged -- It's meant to match the 577Ne --

I was thinking of the 550 Express. ( Just a thought, is all.) While I am not fan of the belt, I like the looks of the cartridge. Weatherby is a great source of brass. CEB for bullets. Ruger #1 would make a nifty rig.

Brian - The 550 express is easier to do than a 550 flanged -- brass is WAY easier ---

Odd thing about this thread - when field use found an edge use case that made a problem with one of my rounds, i totally embraced the feedback and welcomed improvements ---

However, I just asked some questions about barrel length, and correct a misconception on an unrelated round, there appears to be a "taking my ball...." issue...

I didn't mean to piss ed off

Ed,

I see you are into the Political Forum.

You do realise that forum is for our entertainment.....do not expect to achieve anything.

over what political things I and Gramma support....

And had trouble with her account deleted here,

so we will just do what is really needed for us two here on AR,

cases don't matter..

so why go through the trouble of deleting the data?

best hope is to ignore the crater

Yes, That 550 Express Looks like the perfect case for a big bore project. With the CEB bullets it would be dynamic.

About Ed, I have not been following things on the thread and don't know what's going on. But, I will say that I have dealt with Ed on and off for about two years now. We did my big bore conversion together. He has been a real gentleman. Helpful and cooperative. I like him.
I am not sure but I suspect he is a bit like me. (This is just a guess. ) He is passionate about things and comes on a little strong at times. And like me, he is an older guy with his own way of looking at things. We garrulous old gents make better impression face to face, sometimes.

Just trying to help. Brian
