there were 9 shooters at hogkiller's place today, protecting everbody from those pesky dangerous water jugs... everbody that wanted shot the first spr22 45-70 remington DR to hit texas....i shot my first .505 gibbs, i'm hooked...all that were there had a good time had lots of great guns, and conversation... thanks to keith for the invite.... mike edwards from victoria showed up with his 475 and 500 linebaugh pistols, and those were fun to shoot....in all, i think we killed about 90 dangerous waterjugs.. some were wounded by .22's and had to be finished off with big bores!!!!!!!!!

Had a great time at the "Bubba shoot" today and enjoyed meeting more of the members. Had some new experiences as this was the first time I've fired any double rifles. Jimatcat gave me the opportunity to shoot both his 45-70 double and 9.3x74. Got to fire Bob's 450-400 and what a treat that was. The Remington spr22 shot very well for me and behaved under recoil. What a day of fine shoot'n. Rodney.

Don't forget them evil Halloween pumpkins that had to be splattered at spittin range! I think everyone was very surprised at how well Jims Rembaikal double shot, within eight rounds it was well regulated and we all enjoyed shooting it! If they all shoot that well, I predict lots of hog hunters will be buying one. I must be getting old, or just spoiled with my trusty 450/400, I got to shoot Rodneys CZ 505 Gibbs and while not too bad, I decided I could probably live without one! I don't even enjoy my Lott like I used too, must be Girlin up! The Linebaughs were nice and not bad at all, very accurate. One of the nice things about these shoots, besides damn good company, is the opportunity to shoot other weapons that you might not ever get the chance to otherwise. I always enjoy letting others shoot my double, until I bought one, I never had the chance to
shoot one! Thanks again to all who attended and to Keith for the Invite! Lee.

I'm glad everyone had a good time. We will do another, probobly after the first of the year.

The Spartan was fun to shoot and easy to regulate. I think lots of hogs will dir to them. The triggers do SUCK and the front sight is not much better. But they are fixablr!
