Pull the 7mm barrel, install and headspace the .458 barrel, 'glass bed the action into the stock, and have at it.

Am thinking of a 458ar so will need a reamer, dies, brass then time in the shop to pull it together hopefully by spring. has anyone shot cast lead boolits out of a 458ar yet? thanks Clint

Yep, have run 500gr hard cast with Trail boss powder, about 900-1000fps (if i remember correctly) from a case full of it.

Don't go to heavy on the barrel, mine was a Shilen 5.5 contour with a Ruger knox, ended up sending it to get fluted to cut some weight down (they don't kick you know )
