Does anyone familiar with this caliber have any advice on brass? The options appear to be: B.E.L.L. Quality Cartridge Co. A-Square Hornady basic belted mag. Specifically, is there any reason to stay away from one or the other, or any peculiarities of any one type. Thanks in advance.

Hornady basic brass. I used B.E.L.L. in my 458Lott and found the primer pockets to be loose straight from the factory. The Hornady will need to be trimmed to length and is then pretty much ready to go for the Capstick. I just need to get a 0.475 trimmer pilot as I cheated and necked them to 0.458, trimmed and then opened to 0.475. Not exactly ideal Cheers... Con

Thanks to all of you, this helps a lot. Going to go with Hornady, the plus side is they are cheaper also.

Old a2 is soft fellas. Not the new a2. The new stuff test out at 85,000 psi. 15 reloads and still going.

moonova, you might have the new new stuff, but their stuff was such crap that brand new CZ guns in 505 couldn't use it, due to being out of spec. jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
