Does anyone out there have any experience with this round? I have a CZ 550 in 375 H&H that I got in trade recently and this seems like it would be an easy, fun conversion. When you need it and don't have it you'll be singing a different tune.

Yes that CZ would make an excellent 470 Capstick. A 3.8" box will allow you to use some bullets that will not fit in the 3.6" box of my M70. You will have 5 down in the box instead of only 3. You can load some bullets long and get better performance, even though 2400 fps with 500 grainers from a 3.6" COL ain't too shabby. 2.5X Leupold at 50 yards: The old North Fork .474" of skimpy band shot very well in my tight McGowen 10" twist barrel. North Fork CUP point and FP solid are now .4750" -0.00000"/+0.00025". Work up to my load with usual precautions. A-Square manual is a good load data source. It is what I picked from.

I shot a friends 470 Stainless model 70 Capstick.I shot it along with my 416 Rem mag.It does kick pretty good.I would love to have one beacause the brass can be made from 416 Rem mag brass which I have 8000 pcs of .I would rather ship the .458 bore because it too close to the 416 bore.I have shot up to 150 rounds of Reduced 416 Rem mags loads in a day without discomfort.I think about 6 rounds of 470 Capstick is my limit without a muzzle break.I like the 470 Capstick alot. Its alot cheaprer to get a gun and cheaper to reload than the 470 NE .I can load a box of 20 470 Capstick rounds for about $30 bucks or just powder and brass because I aready have plenty of brass.I am suprised its not more popular.
