I am not familiar with these rifles, can someone enlighten me? In particular, I am interested in a Kleinguenther Model K-14 in 375 H&H. Would it be worth $700? Do they make a good Dangerous Game Rifle? Can you tell me the pros and cons of this make rifle?

I had a K-14 in .25-06 and I really like the rifle. I'm not sure if you have seen the rifle, but mine looked a lot like a Weatherby. I'm not sure if the .375s came with sights. The K-15 (a latter model) .375s didn't have sights.

The guns were imported from Germany by Kleingunther in Seguin, TX. These are well made guns with a reputation for accuracy. I believe they were made by Voere.

Can't comment on its worth as a DGR, but it should make a nice .375. Also can't comment on the price. They have always been expensive. I sold my .25-06 for $500 14 years ago. Good luck!

The thing that caught my eye with the Kleinguenther was that all the test targets had the same sized hole regardless of caliber. The holes were cut so cleanly they could almost have been done with a paper punch! Not to be outdone the Golden Eagles featured targets complete with powder burns!
Anyway, the kleinguenthers are not a bad rifle but neither are they anything special. I don't think much of them as a DGR and personally think 700.00 is a bit much but of course that is only my opinion. Regards, Bill.

Johnny,

I had a thing for the K-14 Instafire rifle in the early 70s when they came out. Voere made the rifles, and Kleinguenther sold them in Seguin, TX. I liked the short firing pin travel, and the accuracy guarantee of .5" for 3-shots at 100 yards. I never put the money together, so I didn't buy the rifle.

Bolt Action Rifles says the K-15 replaced the K-14 in 1975. I looked for the .411 K-15 but never found one to buy.

They were made to a high standard of fit and finish. If the rifle is in excellent condition, it would be worth the price compared to contemporary rifles.
