Are these cartridges duplicates? Both based on the .460 Weatherby, both straight taper, both are claimed to be a scaled up Lott, slightly different loading and bullets but it looks to me like the shells are exactly the same. What am I missing? | ||

Nope. other than using weatherby cases, like 100000 other wildcats, they aren't related. the 505 uses a .505 bullet, the .495 uses a .510, which means you can't interchange but, really, there's no difference in the the 510 wells, the 500 a2, the 495 A2, at the muzzle.. and the wells is the elder round... so, is there any difference.. well, you get the point, right? the only "different" rounds based off the weatherby big case are teh 550 magnum and 550 express jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
