Q: I have a new .375 Ruger and want to know about performance of the Hornady 300gr. RN. Does anyone have experience with this ammunition?

Jeffe,
Thanks, but I am interested in the RN bullet-in the factory cartridge. Hornady is giving them away at 40% off and I wondering why? Maybe just to make room for the NEW Superperformance or Dangerous Game lines of product? If so, no problem. I just don't want to go out and buy 200 rds. of these if they are crap??

For what it's worth...Midway has 375 Ruger 300gr Dangerous Game round nose solids for 38$ in the clearance section under ammo...not a bad price.

I noticed on Midway is closing out the Hornady regular 375 Ruger ammo and now has what Hornady calls "Superformance" ammo. What is the difference?

They are getting rid of the older stuff cheap so they can get to charging $70 a box for the new stuff as soon as possible.

I don't know if gohip2000 meant $70 literally or not, but they will be back to retail($60) at least, and maybe more given their specialized marketing program for SP and DG-and I would think that their ammo pricing would be in a similar price range with the H&H ???

GDOG, I used factory 300 gr rn dgx last year and I took a nice large black bear 180 yd lung shot had expansion and of course no bullet recovery.I was also getting very good groups with them too, hope this helps a bit.

Cheers from the Yukon
