Yesterday I was out sweating and trying to sight in the 416 Rem and kept hearing two bulls fighting over the hill. Thinking it was just my one of my bulls arguing over the fence, with a neighbors bull, I waited til I was done shooting to investigate.

Yep, there was my bull and a neighbors bull fighting right in the middle of the pasture.

I stood there quite a while with the loaded gun talking myself into not shooting the PIA.

So today I get to go build fence and try to find a neighbor that will claim the extra bull.

Yep, unless Porky is really something like a Ford SuperDuty, this bull wasn't going to be dragged anywhere....led, maybe, dragged, no way.......

Lucky for the bull......he wasn't aggressive......the first time he charged me in my own yard would have been the last, the 416 would have ended that nonsense quickly!!

I was working in Ft Payne and camped on site several years ago. It was an ALDoT project, but nobody told the guy who was leasing the pasture we were digging up, so he still grazed cattle there. The cows would lick dew off our tents and trip (that is: pull up) guy lines and tent pegs and "moo" at night and do all kinds of things that really pissed me off. There was a bull among them and that is when I bought a Mossberg 590 and several boxes of rotweil 3" mag 1 5/8 oz slugs. I never got, er, "had" to shoot it but I wanted to. .416 Rigby sounds even better.

I would throw gallon jugs of water drained from my cooler at them if they woke me in the night and even had a stare-down with the bull for it, but he never gave me a good excuse. So the only revenge I got was on all-you-can-eat steak night at the local restaurant.

Needless to say, i am all for shooting livestock, and would happlily belt one with my shotgun (slugs), 45-70, 45 Colt, or Heavy 20.
