Getting close to finishing, will be sending off to Bill Soverns for Checking. The bld action will be sent to Dennis Olson for blueing. I kinda rounded the corners a little more than I planned and I might cut it with Rottenstone one more time, still a little shinny. I have a dressels grip cap, but its not on it in the pic. Anyway, I had fun doing it. I'm sure Jeffe will make fun of my tiddy pink recoil pad (London Gun Pad) I had to take a little off the magazine box with this pattern, having trouble getting four down, didnt have any problem with the factory stock, may take a little off the follower, if not I'll have to find some different bottom metal. I didn't know that stock pattern was a shallow as it was, but I'm learning. Billy, High in the shoulder (we band of bubbas)

fla3006, I havent done that many, I've done a few laminets, Fajen, Boyds etc in the past, bedded and worked on many over the yrs. I think this was the second English stock I've done, or at least on a nice piece of wood. The stock was turned on Mike Kokolus's CZ pattern. Billy, High in the shoulder (we band of bubbas)

Jeffe, I started to cover the pad up just for grins, figured you would have made some comment about it being pink and hard, as in somewhere between a whores heart and a woodpeckers bill, if I remember your quote correctly. Billy, High in the shoulder (we band of bubbas)

That's beautiful Gringo, anybody would be proud. Are they the original crossbolts or aftermarket?

Mix3006, The crossbolts are B-Square. I drilled the back one to high, wanted to get them even, but didnt figure on the transfer bar for the safety and the front trigger screw, the back one should be about 3/8 or so lower. I had to saddle the back cross bolt quite a bit to get it to clear, so I installed an internal cross bolt behind the magazine for good measure. I would have used the factory ones, but sold my facotry stock. On my next stock I'm going to inset the crossbolts and plug with ebony, I have a plug cutter on order. The only reason I didn't use ebony plugs on this one is because I dang near had the stock finished before I remembered I forgot the crossbolts, so I left them exsposed.
