I have a custom .460WM on a Brno 602. This will be the rifle I will take for buff in '06 and need a smith to slick up the action, fabricate a muzzle cap to replace the brake and reverse the safety for forward to fire. Could anyone recommend a smith with DG rifle experience? Thanks, Bob

Lon Paul at Tanglewood Guns in California is great with BRNO and CZ's. African PH's love his stuff. Give him a call at 951-659-2699

VFR,

Roger Ferrell is right here in Georgia. He has tons of ewxperience working on CZs. JudgeG and Mbogo 375 have posted several photos of Roger's outstanding work. Roger does great work and his turn around is very good as well. He is a local, so dont feel like you have to send your rifle cross country. Give Roger a call: (770) 460-0533.
Best of luck. Post your pics of finished rifle, whoever you choose. Hugh

After re-reading New Guy's critique of his Lon Paul Rifle I hauled out the one I have for a closer examination. Everything on it is purpose built and the rails and feed ramp are polished to a mirror finish and it is feeds as slick and reliably as any rifle I have ever had the pleasure of using. In a nut shell it is a superb piece of workmanship. I have showed it to both D'Arcy Echols and Steven Dodd Hughes and both of them agreed with me that it was a mighty fine rifle.
I also know Joe Coogan is a fan and owner of Lon's rifles as are many African PH's.
So I'll stand completely by my initial assessment and recommendation of both Lon and his work.
