| It is pretty easy to attach levers to the existing Ruger rings and they are quite strong, good mounts....I think Talley makes Ruger rings???? but not sure... |

| Big Bore, I don't like the Warnes on a Mauser as they have to be installed with levers on the right side and recoil will bounce the levers around to interfere with opening of the bolt..I almost got stomped by a buff over that little deal, only a good PH saved my bacon at the last minute...I continued that hunt with black plastic tape around the scope and levers to hold them in place. so if you have levers on the bolt side of your 77 be forewarned and I think due to the bolt release you must... |

| I use warne QD's on my cz 550 .458 Lott, 30 or so shots levers have not moved and there on the bolt handle side. There spring loaded, and you have to pull the lever out first to be able to move it.
I also have Talley QD's on a .585 Nyati they have not moved either.
I am not saying a problem can't occur but I have not seen it yet........ |

| PC, It does happen, but I would guess that one could put tougher springs in them and prevent that...
SBT,.It scared me also, much more than you!! It happened once on my .338 and again on my 404 Jefferys, thats when I sold all of them and went to Talley...If they will fit on the off side from the bolt then it would make little difference..recoil seems to be the culprit as best I could figure. No other reason comes to mind. |
