That safety looks familiar. Is that a Weatherby Mark V action?

George, I'm pretty sure that's an Enfield, but I could be wrong. The pic's a little fuzzy.

Not my style - I like wood and express sights - but to each his own. The real test isn't looks anyway, but how it shoots.

I do like your choice of caliber! Smiler

HMMMMMMM!! bewildered
The bolt handle, bolt shroud and safety say Weatherby. However the bolt seems "solid", meaning void of "flutes", BUT won't be the first time I'm wrong.

Yeah, there's no "button" to open the floor plate and the trigger guard is too thin for a Weatherby.

What a terrible thing to do to a .505 Gibbs. It looks like it should be a 45-70.

Sorry folks!
It is a P14 Enfield action. The Barrel, 25", and action work was done by Bevan King in Ponce Coupe and the stock and finishing works was done by Bills Gunsmith in Burns Lake. Both in BC Canada.

2" groups at 75 yards when I do my job.

I specified a Fiberglass stock as I intend to take off into the bush for Moose and Bear with it. The whole rifle weighs 12 ib's!!

To say that I am happy is an understatement!!

Hello,
I would judge the rear micrometer sight is a long slide Redfield?? Perhaps a Lyman 48?? Your rifle follows the time honored design rule, "form follows function..." and that is definitely a "good thing!!"

good looking rig, nice and practical.

you gettign what, 2 down?

nice looking enfield action, though I like the dogleg bolt, good looking syth stoch, and, use for the record, there's a short slide version of that rear sight that doesn't require the stock to be cut so deep.

12# is about right, especially if "classic" loads are a starting point... but with cast bullets at 1800fps, it will be a puppy!!
