News Flash. In case you were wondering, the 375 Ruger is COMPLETELY adequate for Whitetail Does. I was going to bring my 458, but since Buck season is over, I thought I'd "go light" with the 375 on a Doe hunt. Worked well. (DUH!) :-)

My 416 Ruger made a nice shot on this coyote @ 205yds! A 300gr TSX @ 2550fps stop it in its tracks Smiler



Great practice with the big guns!

Thats nothing dancing I shot one at 20 yards with my 416 taylor left a bigger hole in him much more energy at 20 then 200. rotflmo

I know what you mean by hole. I did not photo the other side of the dog as it left a hole you could put a full size football in sideways! Smiler

You should have used the 270 TSX. 300 grain bullets are not needed on a doe.
Also 250 grains and under are for varmint class

On safari in Namibia two years ago, the PH saw a jackal at about 200yds and told me to shoot it. I did. Offside was just as you stated on the coyote. Not worth saving the hide.
