dan,
why in the HELL would you ask the forum and not him? doesn't seem like the forum could provide anything but speculation, or, if someone KNEW, a breech of personal trust.

Jeff, why are you such a grouch? A moderator is supposed to facilitate communication on the forum, not stifle it, start arguments, or throw wild accusations about.

Dan,
yet you don't answer a simple question... WHY would you ask in a forum and not email the owner?

and let's drop the "oh, was I bad" BS... you degrad yourself and insult everyone else's intelligence

Jeff, I used to respect you. But I don't know why you behave so angrily the past few months. Another example is when you sent me an irate PM because I asked how your .550 Flanged double rifle is coming along. What harm can there be in a simple question? If your .550 were a secret, you would not have posted about it here. And if Tom's big bores were a secret, they would not be advertised here, as well as on gunsamerica and westleyrichards.com.

Feel free to reply to this post if you wish. However, I personally would appreciate it if you reply were neither hostile nor mean spirited. Thank you.

Dan,
sorry you feel that way... I disagree...
I don't find direct communication hostile or mean spirited.

and there's still the open question above

I asked a simple, direct question... if your determine that to be mean spirited, hostile, unbecoming a moderator, and determined to have a fight...

well, dan, that's entirely your invention

I asked you a simple, direct question, that has taken you (to date) 3 replies to not answer.

this is a matter of (un)common courtesty, I asked you a direct question, you have responded with three different (and then abandoned) insults and attacks upon myself... all the while you carry on that I am somehow the bad actor in this little scene.

How about I restate this in a simple, yes or no question...

Have you emailed Tom himself with your own question?

you can reply with a simple "yes" or "no" ....

OK Guys,I am here now and since I seem to be part of the topic,I will respond, but first guys,Calm Down!(Hi STEVE)...I am Safarikid and yes,I am selling/have sold several of my Big bores.I am REPLACING the with some bigger, some smaller...The .700NE is gone,as is the 577 and 450/400...My Ken Owens 4 bore Double is 2 months away from being done.It will shoot Kens 2000gr Jacketed soft points and solids at 1500fps(TKO of 430!)with Blue Dot.It is supposed to put both barrels(22") into a playing card at 50yds all daylong,as did the first 4 he built!A 24 pound shoulder cannon,so I am also having AHR build me a "Light rifle",due in April. It is the .600OK(overkill) in a Custom Bolt gun with a Killer piece of XXX wood,20" barrel and all the bells and whistles...It will weigh a mere 10pds and push 900grainers up to 2400fps,but I choose 21-2200.I also have replaced the .577 double with a newly aquirred Charles Osborne .600NE Double(English also) and love it as it weighs only 13pds,1 ounce! So that explains the "swapping around"...Not to mention the 50/110 lever,1886 that pushes 525s at 2300fps in a 8 pound lever! Then theres my 500 PC Smith handguns, now pushing 575s at 1400 in a 6.5" barrel.Bowled a Bison over with one last Nov and a Water Buff will hopefully feel the "Hammer of Thor" this WED at the Brady Ranch in S.Florida.If I could figure out this picture thing,I could post ya'll some good stuff!Happy Hunting! da Safarikid (the 8 bore Tolley mentioned for sale is on the GA site and also Gunbroker)

Jeff, I have quoted your offensive post above. If you will withdraw that post and apologize for your rude demeanor and warrantless attack, then we can start anew and have a dialog. You can even ask your question. But as you have seen (3 replies, blah blah blah), I will not indulge your lack of manners.

I await your return to civility.

Dan,
funny..
you get to mud sling, call me names, insult me, question my character, and somehow I am the uncivil and unmannered person? cute..

Cute... I see Tom has answered your question.

Interesting that you have insulted me, my charactor, demenor, behavoir, upbringing, and public worthiness... when I asked you a simple question...

Is this what you consider to be "GOOD" manners and civil behavoir, that you call me into question on?

No wait, there's 2 pending questions waiting that one

though you have provided an interesting diversion to avoid answering a single question, dan, you'll be waiting a long time before I comform to your view of insult and injury as civil, mannered behavoir

I have had a lot of respect for both of you on this forum as you usually provide good info and worthwhile contributions. At the risk of alienating you both I hope you take the following as constructive critisism. You both are acting in a "petty and thin skinned manner". I hope you will Sit back have a big dollop and come back as friends.
