Is it me or is there too much muzzle rise?
Shooting the 550 Gibs

The 458 Lott IS a medium bore pea shooter after all Big Grin

Your recoil looks like tom shooting his 4 bore

I think the 505 Gibbs or the 500 Jeffery are cartridges that are more likely to "push" towards the shoulder of the shooter, and sizes faster as 458 Lott, 460 Weatherby Magnum reelevan over the weapon, and because it gives the feeling that they have further recoil. Like I'm wrong, but I think it may be the reason.

Oscar

PS: It should also assess the refills, it is possible that in the youtube video when shooting in the 505 Gibbs was doing it with a reduced load.

I let my shoulder rest for a couple of months before shooting it and that made the recoil seem MUCH less. This is the first Ruger I bought and now shoots groups a little too big.I want to keep my new Ruger new, in case I go hunting next summer or fall. The high muzzle rise is probably because I hold the rifle closer to my body, with my left arm and not out far on the forearm.

I still have not tried my Ceska 550 Safari Magnum rifle because, after paying the money I have none left to buy ammo (I am a simple worker). But seeing as his rifle behaves I'll wait for a good "kick" in my shoulder jejeje. I've shot with another Ceska caliber Magnum 375 H & H and I endured it.

I've realized, yes, you want both (you and me), improvements in our respective economies and we can have money to shoot anything we want. Thanks buddy beer. I wish (dreaming is free) to hunt one day a beautiful Cape buffalo.
