Hello everybody I'm new to this sort of thing but bear with me and I will get the hang of it pretty soon. What I was wondering was, what the heck happened to A-Square? It took them 31/2 months just to respond to my letter. Recently I went to their web site www.a-square.net and got a really nasty message to the government. Does anybody know if they are still making and shipping rifles and ammo???? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

JR - first off, welcome to the forum. This is the best place on the net for us gun and hunting nuts.
Unfortunately, Art and A-Square are out of action at the moment. He is busy dealing with lawyers and government types. He is a very interesting and knowledgeable guy who got caught up in a very bad situation. A lot of innocent people were also victims of his fur-ball with the government. Many lost money and are still waiting for guns that I am afraid will never be shipped.
To the best of my knowledge, they are not shipping anything nor will they be any time soon. Art and his situation have often been discussed on this forum - not a pretty picture. There are several folks around here that speak with Art every once in a while. Maybe they have more current info.

Having difficulty finding A-Square, I am grateful to have this resource site. THANK YOU GENTLEMEN and LADIES. I am looking for chamber & load details of the 495 A-Square, for possible SAKO AV. I am curious as to the general "details" of Art's business hassle.
FWIW: I heard from Sinclair Intl. though that they can still get his A-Square Reloading Manuals as I just bought one from them back in May '01. They said that they have reordered these without problems.
Thanks for the info, Roger. I figured it was something like that. Is there anyone on this site that doesn't like hearing certain employees of the federal government called jackbooted thugs? If so, please sight the site that Roger cites above.
