And why is that? If I could own, I for sure would use it.

Really nice pice of wood.
Billy,
you could measure the length of the front ring and the exjector box to get a really close "yardstick" for sizing....
get to it!!!

Slim_ZippyI know it is different strokes for different folks, but I cannot figure out why I would much rather see a well configured daily use rifle with some honest wear showing on the stock and metal. I enjoy seeing the art of fine rifle makers taken to the upper limits of human ability, but not always attractive to me.
Nice doesn't mean weak.

Your a sensible man Brent.
Versace is for the Nouvo rich, and rightly not a fair comparison to a Fine English Mauser.
WR,H&H,Purdey, are more for those that were born rich and will die rich.Such quality is just par for the course for such gentry. Its not about taky fashion statements or questioning the price. They have little time for such pettiness.
If one liked Versace fashion ,then they should buy a Blazer rifle to match.
There is nothing in that WR-M98 that is not purely practicle & functional, which to me, means it is a serious hunting tool. How one could figure it to be anything but that, is somewhat beyond me.
We build houses, and buy vehicles that often cost way in excess of such a rifle, and we accept the wear&tear, maintenance and timely refurbishment that goes with them. Why would one protest similar responsibilities that also come with such a rifle?. If one was fortunate enough to use his rig that much,to require such work, then he has had hell of a good time and many fond memories getting it to that stage. In my mind, thats not something to resent or complain about.
In fact, a few honourable scars and worn bluing on a bestgrade rifle detract nothing of its character, charm or integrity. Nor does it disrespect the efforts of the gunmaker. The HagnShop does not create wallflowers.

Please do that. I am having Bill Soverns do the stocking on my son's .30-06 project and I want the gun to look like that.
I would be interested in what your cad program can do with that photo.

I hope you were joking cause that is signature WR front sight treatment for both Bolt and double guns.
Also the fact that the foresight is set back from the crown of the barrel.
is is as distinctive as H&H's fore sight
Right! Just like Dakota puts all their rear sights on backwards.

Ive tried, but I cannot reach that figure with the WR BoltGun Builder:
http://www.westleyrichards.com/gun/new_build_bolt_1.htmlBest I could do was BP16,060(US$30,470.)without engraving option.
Does that mean the engraving shown is BP23,476/US$44530 ??
Yes,that Std.Grade WR-M98 is a fine looking rig.
I have spoken to my friend at Purdey's.
While no expert at W&R's, as he says, the DeLux engraving STARTS at 2950 BP.The sky is the limit. He told me they had a .500 NE now with engraving made by Phil Coggan, were the egraving itself was worth 75000BP. That is almost 140000 USD!!!!! Only a handful people in the world can make engraving like that, and you pay almost as much for their name as for their work. Like buying a Picasso.
