I'm looking for some info on some differnet powders for my 416 ruger. Will I get good velocity, say 2300, out of h335 with a 400gn bullet? Is that powder temp sensitive? I would love to be able to use that powder because it works well in my lott amd I have a good bit. Also, h4350 works well in the 375 ruger, how about the 416 ruger? Any load data would be greatly appreciated.

For the 416 Ruger there are two powders to use with 400 gn proj...R15 and Varget...the 4350 powders are getting to slow

the ruger case is slightly smaller than my 416 AccRel .. i could encroach on 2500, no problem, with h335 in my AccRel

Jeff, Have you loaded any 416 ruger rounds with h335? Have you had good luck and what seems to be a good load? Is it good with the 400 grainers? Thank you for your help.

No other replies? There has got to be some 416 ruger reloaders out there.

R-17 works really well in my 416 Rigbys. It is fairly dense, so it might do surpisingly well in the 416 Ruger, if you can get enough in the case. You probably need about 85-88 grains of R17 to reach 2600fps with a 350 grain bullet. Check it out. If not, R15 might do that with 81-82 grains.

I use RL15 For my 416 and for my 375 H&H I use
IMR4350 For my Lott I use IMR4320. I get top
