greetings,
the recoil lug and screw can easily be modified into a a standard recoil lug. make a black that slides into the dovetail.. the screw will tell you the shape, make it about 3/8 long, and solder it in. with the F-block arraingement, though, the screw does help

I have bedded five of them ( three in synthetic and two in wood ) and simply threw the loose lug and screw away and found that the small flat lump remaining on the barrel seems to be enough for the 416 with solid devcon bedding.
