And on sale they're about the same price as Woodleigh 500 gr. SPs. I'd rather shoot the Woodleighs.

Thank goodness. I hated them.
Good news, is they are bringing back the old style. I got a box of regular RN-softs just last week. Waiting on the solids to get in stock now.

well, good..
the innerlock el cheapo 500gr is a darn good training and practice round, but NOT a premium bullet, and for the price of the interbond, i too will shoot woodlieghs...

and for a couple cents more, swifts, which I will be loading for a DG hunt sooner or later..

There is nothing wrong with the original hornady's. If they had left them alone in the first place, all would have been well.
They are what I will continue to use in the .375-.458 calibers. For anything bigger, I'll stick with woodleighs, as they are traditional construction for my Nitro's.
What happens, is the companies try to change things to either make them better, or for profit, and it ends up making them worse than they already were to begin with.
If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Walksfar,
the original bullets are not DG bullets, but take pigs and deer very well.... the "wrong" with them is that there is no disclaimer saying "don't use on thick skinned game"
