and boy is it fun. The 325 gr. HP load is a real pussycat, although it will whip a 1 gal. milk jugs butt. The 400 gr. is just a little more umph, not bad at all, just a little more noticeable. We didn't shoot groups, just some offhand shooting. I'll leave it to Jeffeoso to talk about shooting the really big stuff, several Lott's were in attendance also. Thanks Hogkiller for having us up. Glad to hear you all enjoyed the 50 Beowulf. Does it kick like a 20 ga shotgun as advertised? I'll bet that sucker is MOA at 100 yds too! Details gentlemen, we need details. Simply too cool. ASS_CLOWN

Certainly no worse than a 20ga. O/U shotgun with the 325 gr. loads, the 400 gr. are probably more like a 12 ga. O/U. I bore sighted it Friday, then we had a couple of rounds to make sure the red dot was hitting a pie plate, then shoot milk jugs at 40 yards or so. No bench resting, all off hand. Trajectory seems significantly different between the 325 and 400 gr. loads. I'll probably go to the range next weekend and shoot for groups with both loads to see what it does. the 50 BW is a sweet round indeed, just curious, did you guys shoot factory AA ammo or did you load any of your own, you can make some pretty stout 50 BW loads...theres some loadings for LEO's which are used to "disrupt intermediate barriers..." Its always fun to see how much "stuff" one can punch through.
