Ladies and Gentlemen:

Does anyone have a reamer print and a cartridge dimensions print for the 450 Vincent Short? I'm thinking about building one on an 1898 Mauser action. Looks like impressive ballistics from the postings here on Accurate Reloading.

Honestly, you'll be ahead of the game with a 458 AR. Everything required for case spec developement to loading is already done. And rumor has it that correct stamped brass is important in Africa, well jeffeosso is working on that as well.

A 45/404 Dakota is on my back burner for a 450 Vincent Short RIPoff, and headstamp alteration.
I would put it in a Ruger Mark II M77 or standard Mauser 98 and have the ultimate Will-O-The-Kansas elephant rifle (7 pounder). A featherweight .458 Lott equivalent for those long hot treks. sofa
