I'm planning to put a new recoil pad on a custom 375 wby. Which one do you suggest?

Limbsaver for recoil absorption. Red Pachmayer for show. You can make the Limbsaver look nice if you step dow in grit as you get close and clean up with lighter fluid.

For some reason my only rifle with a limbsaver pad melted to the bottom of my safe carpet. Replaced it with a decelerator, both are good, all the limbsaver is a little squishier....

We use Decellerators on all of our rifles including the 600 OK. Here's a little tip; on the stock side of the pad, cut out the thin rubber webbing for more softness.

Limbsaver again and I've tried them all. Not the pretty pad on a high dollar custom, but the best for handling hard stiff recoil.

Limbsaver. I put one on a 7-pound Ruger No. 1 .45/70 which gives over 50 ft/lb of recoil, and was just a bear to shoot with the Ruger pad. What a world of difference!!!

The Limbsaver seems to absorb a bit more recoil over the Decelerator, but this comes w/ a price as I find it too squishy and too sensitive to high temps. In the upper 90s on up it becomes extremely soft. It is easily damaged. I find the Decelerator to have a good balance between felt recoil reduction and being tuff.

Decellerator: plenty of recoil reduction, way tougher and looks better too!

There's a Limbsaver on the back end of my .375 Webby. The gun's 8 1/2 lbs. and will not hurt a fella. I like the Limbsaver pad quite well even if it is a tad on the fugly side.

I love tradition and can live with the pain..I still use the Silvers pads, cuz they are nice to cover with leather...

Give me pain and tradition any day...besides my shoulder is like Rhino hide, its my cheek taking a lick and noise that make me flinch.
