does anyone have 550 cast bullets anymore. the only company i come up with is kdm and their web site says their not accepting orders.

He has got some 550 gas checked bullets I've shot from my 458ar. 75gr of N-530 gave me 2159fps and some incredible recoil.

Seems to be some confusion; I assumed he was refering to 55 caliber, not grain weight. I have some also if Jeff can't come up with any. I think they are 715 grains; Jeff's are 6 and change.

Very good bullets. He has two configurations of 550grs. One is for the the 45-70 and .450 leverguns. The other is a bore rider design that works good in the .458, .458 Lott and 45-70 Ruger #1. I have done extensive pressure work with these bullet. The bore rider in the #1 45-70 can be launched very fast but will snap on impact without re-inforcement. It you shoot them at 1700fps you will probalby never have a problem though. The 550gr launched from the .450 marlin out penetrated a 300gr FMJ from a .375 by nearly double. reflex264
