$50K for a $1500 curio. What a deal. ------------------------------------------------ "Serious rifles have two barrels, everything else just burns gunpowder."

CSMC is going to half that price in another couple of years, original listing was around 80K, if I remember correctly. Germanic, but definitely not from Gross Germany!

I handled one of these at the DSC in January. I thought it was heavy and bulky for a 375 H&H. As Jeffe said it is a masterpiece of engineering, considering that the bolts do not rotate. The shroud around the bolt assembly rotates and lock into the action. Interesting, but too rich for me! Rusty We Band of Brothers! DRSS, NRA & SCI Life Member "I am rejoiced at my fate. Well folks that $45K, I wont be spending, and I be embarrased to tell anyone I bought a $45K push feed bolt rifle, no matter how many barrels it had!............ ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

Dittos on the amazing engineering feet, and not for me. Just think of what type of real double one could have for $45k, or what type of safari you could have with a $10k double and $35k for the hunt. __________________________________________________ The AR series of rounds, ridding the world of 7mm rem mags, one gun at a time.

Folks who order this "Tyrolean Cuckoowerke" don't need to rationalize purchases in monetary terms, they can have it all. Basically, they don't know what a cash register is. Their month long safari is your day at a big amusement park.

Amazing engineering, however it still looks like a sumo wrestler. Just seeing that has gotten the thinking wheels going...Wonder if I could make a double-barrel Browning BLR in .450 Marlin?! Oh this could be fun...back to the drawing board "Molotov Cocktails don't leave fingerprints" -Dr. Ski

Actually, Rusty at the least fondled the beast. Its best use would be to hold by the barrel and club the crap out of your prey. Bolt cycle is too long. And the thing weighs a ton. Holy Fuchs! SCI Life Member DSC Life Member

What's the point ?????? Do you fire both barrels at the same time ????????
|

You can fire both. The point is a 6 shot repeating double rifle. As I understand it a prototype of this rifle removed a couple of fingers from some noteworthy PH or hunter, when it went to heaven. Once again I marvel at the engineering and concept, however it is neither nimble nor does it come to the shoulder with ease. I feel that is a prerequisite for good double rifle! Typo? 45-dollar prostitute? Surely they do not mean "Fuc*s" for $45,000! Ain't no *ussy worth that ... ... Oh I see, a pimp's double rifle for $45,000 ... Still not interested. This brings new meaning to bolt action trash, in fact it is double rifle trash, lowest of low art.

Those are made in Innsbruch Austria. Fuchs is actually pronounced so sounds like fox. Gerard Fuchs apparently is a gunsmith, salesman, owner, he is usually the one I go to B.S. with in Reno. The barrels are fully integral two holes, one piece of steel and regulated, drilled and rifled that way. Usually double rifles are not drilled into regulation, so it is a big deal and tricky gundrilling setup in the gundrilling area. The action itself is simple with some titanium parts to cut weight. Now I know why nobody ever sees a target printed with this thing. REGULATION DRILLED IN! Yeh Right!!!!!!!!!!! H&H, WR, PURDEY, need to pay this guy to show them how to PRE-REGULATE a double rifle! ....Mac >>>===(x)===> MacD37, ...and DUGABOY1 DRSS Charter member "If I die today, I've had a life well spent, for I've been to see the Elephant, and smelled the smoke of Africa!"~ME 1982 Hands of Old Elmer Keith

The fully integral, intersection drilled and rifled that way is an option, from what I gathered in talking with Mr.Fuchs. His other rilfes were regulated the solder shim and block way. Timan
