It was hoot. The 500 Jeffery rules!
Made the mistake of rushing out to the range first thing this morning to clock some of the loads I brought to Keith's. OUCH!
Gene, the Linebaugh clocked those 435 gr bullets at 1275. Not too shabby, I thought they were slower than that. The SOCOM was running 1650, about 150 feet slow which confirmed the thought that it needed more powder to cycle.
Billy, I know where Jeffe keeps the ringers so we (I mean you)can test that next time!

Thanks to all for the great time. Can't wait 'til the next one!

At a guy's place around Houston. We can't say exactly or the EPA will fine us for lead contamination.

Sounds like hoot!

Did yall enjoy a frosty Texas beer afterwards?

The reason I ask is me and a couple buddies had a Shiner and some bratwurst after we put our arsenal to bed yesterday. It was a blast!

Jeffe swore he didnt give me a ringer when I shot the big gun, the only thing differt with me shooting that and the mullets in Saaeds Video was I didnt drop the gun and run, but I wanted to.

The bullet catch we tried to build was a sight to behold...............little to much dynomite there butch. I wish we had a picture of that. I just brought the freezer bags.

I had a blast, next time I will bring more guns. I felt like I had been run over buy a truck when I got up this morning, must have been the 257 wby.

Just in case you gave up on the BBQ thread I posted there too:

Billy, I tried to send you a link through the PM but it isn't going thru. The new software may not like links. Try www.cdnninvestments.com. You have to download the catalog as a .pdf file to see firearms but what you're looking for should be in it.

Keith told me you guys had a good time. Kudos to Billy for the longest drive! Grand babies turn 5 only once though, next time I'll be there.

"Keith" gives me a totally different meaning alltogether.

Sorry, but that's what I recognized when reading the post. I know I'm far off, but still. After having read loads and loads of Keith material, I cherish and respect the Man. He's truly hard to beat.

I think the brought me along for entertainment, I was the least experenced with Big Bores.

Keith is one of the best guys I ever met, he has a Lott that is a Ray Gun.

Next time I bring more bullets

Jeffe, I'm sure some of the guys would love to hear about your bullet trap...... Big Grin

I agree, yesterday was lots of fun.

Billy, it was good to finaly meet. You get the gold metal for longest round trip.

Jeffe's hydro-bomb, roflmao, does need rethinking bewildered Because it was no bullet trap.

You guys already have Gene checking into the 416 Taylor convertion, to go along with his 458 Lott #1.

Harry, get more powder into the Socom, I want to see that thing run right.

Tex21, yes, along with some sausage. But we also had a lot of smoked wild baby pig ribs for lunch.(w/tea & soda)
