| Ebony tip is new to the African; can't recall seeing the cross-bolt in the past. Previously Ruger said they would not stock the 416 Ruger in wood due to splitting issues. Is one to suppose that problem is now solved? |

| My African .223 has a visible crossbolt. I like the ebony tip. Not so much the brake. Wish I would've gotten an Alaskan in 416 when I had the chance.

| Click on the "Gunsite Scout Rifle" if you want to see just how ugly a rifle Ruger is capable of making today. Crossing an AR-15 with a bolt action rifle results in an esthetic disaster. |
