There are several on this forum who have developed loads and tuned and tested a 500Accurate Reloading.

I'm wondering, what kind of accuracy have people developed and with which loads?

(AmmoGuide does list about 40 loads for the 500AccR, but there are no accuracy notes in the loads I've checked.)

Thank you.

Sounds good.
Does that hold for all 40 loads on AmmoGuide?

One more 500 AR comming now- I got mine three days ago.
Based on a Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan, with 21" Border barrel, 1-10" twistrate, stock from Accurate Inoovations (grey laminate), custom bottom metal so it can take 3 in the mag and one up... Weight around 8 Ibs..

Gunsmith Anders Hatting Larsen and I tested some loads a week ago. Norma 202 and Vithavuori 530. The VVN 530 was best - gave slightly compressed loads and good velocities. With the BBW#13 570 grs solid we got (in my rifle only):
96 grs - 2280 fps
97 grs - 2317 fps
98 grs - 2361 fps
and
99 grs - 2402 fps

Not bad with a short 21" tube eh?
Absolutely no pressure signs whatsoever and no loose primer pockets after reloading the brass the 4. time today with these loads... Still I regard the 98 and especially the 99 grs loads as rather hot (must be) and therefore I will settle for the 97 grs load / 2320 fps when going to Africa the comming week...

2320 fps produces 6800 ftlbs, which should be plenty as a stopper, up close.

Do you use any expanding bullets?
What kind of accuracy do you get?

Have not loaded the BBW#13 non cons yet... With solids I have only shot it off hand and from sticks at 25 and 50 meters, but seemingly very good accuracy.. Less than an inch at 50 from sticks today

Another question on accuracy arises with the Barnes 570 grain TSX since they cut those to .509" diameter instead of the calibre .510".

what kind of accuracy have people found?
(PS: in giving accuracy details for loads, it would be nice to know the amount of freebore, too, since that can effect the powder charges necessary for clean ignition.)
