Search the forums for "Zastava" and "Charles Daly". They are the same rifle Remington is now selling. George

I've held two in my hands. Metal to wood fit was extremely poor. Remington has selfinflicted wounds again. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." For us here in Europe, CZ and Zastava is quite familiar for many hunters. Everyone says a CZ (or a BRNO as they were formerly called) is a really rugged piece of tool but after a little polishing on both metal and wood they are quality guns for life. Zastava is a little of the same but the bad parts of CZ is even worse in a Zastava. Why Remington have chosen Zastava for their "branded" Remington must have been a choice made by a dude in their economical department. That guy would be more suited as a manager in a McDonalds hamburger bar located 500 miles east of New Foundland. Why the heck can't Remington make their own M98 version? Don't they have the skills any more? ------------------------------------- Hmmm, coffee is good. Too bad that without it my head goes bananas. I should quit but hmmm, coffee is good! -------------------------------------

these are the Zastava mauser 98s as sold by whitwork intermarms mark x charles daly and unknown others no more, no less the STOCKS, however, who knows who is making them. it is not a "modified" mauser action, rather a rather true 98, and of the few still available opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round?
