In My Argentine 98 the 500g round JUST fit the box. The 350 fit better. But you must look real close as there are deferent sizes. A friend got one just like mine and needed to take 40/1000 off the box to get it to clear.
The bolt needed to be opened up to take the belted mag but that is all.

I made a custom 3 way swing safety and dropped the blot. And all the finish work to get rid of all the dings of war.

You will need to rework the feed rails as they are to close for it to feed the belted mag and the feed ramp will need to be opened up a LOT! Add a Timmy trigger and your good to go.

My digital camera is in Calif right now, but email me this weekend at fidel@webcoast2coast.net and remind me and I will shoot some pics and send them to you. All and all, it is a lot of work to rework a 98 and make it look good [about 100 Hr.] but it is a real good build.

The barrel was no big deal, took more time to polish and crown it that to turn and shank it. I still need to make a good bull nosed suppressor and iron sights for it and a nice stock. So many fun things to do and so little time to do them!!!!

458s on Mausers are my thing.
