I wanted to try something different so I took a 900gr Kodiak and turned it around, drove it to 2100+ fps and shot it into 4' of tellephone books. Well. not so much into as through. it went completely through in a straight line and across the range creating a huge wound channel. I guess I thought it might, but was still somewhat surprised. It looks like it performed just as a mono-metal flat nosed soid. Maybe like Barnes' new 600 flat point solid. I will probably stay with a Barnes flat solid or AHR's expanding SP mono type but it sure was interesting. Plus it fed out of my rifle perfectly.

I wish I'd taken my video camera as it was something to see. The books were dry and when struck, it looked like a bomb went off throwing shredded paper evrywhere. The rear most book had a blast hole the size of your fist. It literally took the entire center section out. From the back side of the first book all the way through the rest was a wound cavity of about the size of a beer can. It hit so hard the internal books had shredded pages coming out all 4 outside edges. Pretty cool
