The cheapest plinking load I have seen is the Winchester 510 grain Super-X soft point load. I bought mine online based on a recommendation here when I had trouble finding it in stock. Graf's has the 510-grain in stock at $57.99. Natchez has it for less - ~$52. The lighter loads I saw in stores were not a lot cheaper, but I may have been in the wrong stores. A lot depends on why you are plinking and if you want heavier loads for practice.
