Gentlemen Quick question: Are there any issues/problems if I want to trim .458 LOTT cases down to .458 Win mag size/cases? Cheers, André Always always use enough... GUN & KNIFE

I don't see any thing wrong doing that being done so long as they come out strate. I own a 458 Lott. and it will shoot 458 Win. also.

Mine came out too thick and would chamber in the Pre64 barrel.

Thanks for the good replys. I will NOT try this then. I got some fairly cheap Federal Safari .458 ammo at a local gunstore. Hope they will reload well after fired. This factory ammo is crimped very little and many of the bullets can be turned by hand! I like the nickle cases for field use as they stay cleaner then brass ones. I wouldn't even go hunting boars with those cartridges, go figure a Safari!

Just watch out with Nickel brass when you reload. If there are any damage on the Nickel surface, the cases may destroy your reloading tools!

I load nickel .458 cases often, and they work fine. The only difference I notice is that they are a bit harder to resize due to higher friction in the die. NRA Life Member testa virtus magna minimum
