StinkyTaters338 Rem. Ultra Brass necked up to 375 Ultra?
I've been looking for brass for my Remington 700 in 375 Ultra. None to be found locally.
However, there is quite a bit of 338 Ultra brass available. Does anyone know if this brass can be used to make into a 375 Ultra mag. Also, to use the 338 brass in the 375, that I only have to run it over a 375 expander die neck die?
Would this alter the case and/or the case dimentions so that it wouldn't be safe or be able to chamber in a 375 Rem. Ultra?
Thanks

MasteriflemanI'm with dgr416, mail order it from MidwayUSA.com or Graf's (I think Midway is cheaper). It will be about the same price you would have to pay locally by the time you pay the S&H.

475GuyST, specifically, the neck on the 338 rum is too short. The folks at the factory didn't want to make a rifle with an action long enough to accommodate the longer jsp's.

It isn't the neck but the body that's shorter on the 338. Also, I've heard that the reason was so that people wouldn't chamber 300's in 338's.
