3rd picture top to bottom, 577 nitro,4 bore,4 bore,700 nitro, 500 nitro

4th picture is 2 bore and 8 bore

5th picture left to right, 585 Wells Magnum by Frank Wells, 600 overkill, 600 overkill, 700AHR, 700 AHR. last 4 are by Wayne Taylor at AHR

last picture left to right, SSK 14.5 mm, 500 A Square, 500 nitro Ruger #1, 510 Kodiak express by Mic McPherson, 500 Jeffery ultra lite by Bijou Creek.

This is the entire 500 and above family, enjoy cause I sure do! I have collected and shot bigbore guns for about 30 years. Safarikid, thanks a bunch for posting the pics.
The heaviest at 35 lbs is the 14.5 mm, and the lightest at 7.3 lbs scoped is the 500 Jeffery with a 16 1/4" barrel. The 4 bores are 26 lbs, and the 2 bore is a hair under 22 lbs with a 36" barrel. The 700 weighs 17 lbs and sports 26" barrels. I will post the big bore hand guns another time, they are sleeping in a different safe right now.

I heard something hollering from the back of the safe, the Barret M82 semi auto 50 BMG is complaining about being left out of the pictures. Oh well, you can't please them all.

Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too!

If you want to push it, you can get 2850 ft/sec with an 1173 grain custom boat tail bullet. It is a very accurate long range round, as the heavy bullet is not bothered a lot by the wind.

What is the BC of the bullet and how is recoil?

Tyler, I will have to check on the bullet coef. The recoil is stout with the hot loads, but manageable. The gun is heavy at 35 lbs and a good recoil pad helps a lot

BIGDOGGY700.....Damn, what a collection! I love them all. It is amazing how small the .50's & .60's look next to the 4-bore and 2-bore monsters! Those 4-bore doubles are intimidating for sure. You need a brontosaurus herd to try these babies out on! A puny little elephant just isn't enough! I think the .600 OK will probably be my limit but who knows, it may only be the start!

How do you like the .700 AHR and how does it compare to the .600 OK? How fast will it push those 1000 grainers? I'm sure it is awesome. I don't recall seeing any ballistic data on the .700 AHR though and am a bit curious as to what it will do. Right now the .600 OK is the biggest stomper that's within my financial grasp, and it's a great one by all accounts, but I am curious as to how much more power the .700 AHR delivers and how they compare in the penetration department, where some say that the .600 OK rules the roost(I do realize that BOTH are GRADE A++++ stopping calibers and are more gun than is actually needed for ANYTHING ON THIS PLANET, this is just for fun). BigDoggy700, given your experience, how would you size them up against each other?

Again, congratulations on being the envy of many big bore shooters. WOW!!!! Eeker

SRSHOOTER'
The ammo for the 700 that I have right now puts a 1000 grain bullet out of the Grey ghost at 2100 ft/second, and puts it at 2000 ft/sec in the smaller shorter barreled 700. Wayne is loading me some hotter stuff this week in the 700AHR. He is loading some 1200 grain bullets at, I hope, about 2000 ft/second and some 1000 grain bullets at 2250 to 2300 ft/sec. I would probably only shoot these out of the grey ghost since it is heavier.
