More velocity (above the bullet's threshold point) causes the bullet to invariably loses its petals within the first few inches before the bullet reaches the vitals, and so defeats the object of an expanding bullet that must go through the vitals at its widest expansion. So velocity is not always your best friend.

Here is my concept of good bullet performance:

Ok bill, we can all understand it's hard for you to say "whoops, my mouth got ahead oh me". This is one of those times. Thanks for encouraging a crime. Thanks, but no thanks, I never skip my civic duties.

And when you can PROVE Hornady is loading these rounds over pressure, why don't you publish it? The super performance rounds. Of course you could do the intelligent thing, before running off t the mouth, and call 800 308 3220 and ask!

Will,

Here is some more for you ... I think 500 grains posted this some time back, comparing the performance of the NF with a Rhino bullet he had. I think this is good too, shot at velocities that the bullets could handle without coming apart or losing petals. NF is arguably the best CEB with the widest velocity window of all. They too will not make a thousand feet ...
