Ruger replacing "Alaskan" series with "Guide Guns"?
That really sucks they dropped the 416 ruger. I personally like laminated stocks, and the Alaskan is a great carry weight.

I was assured by the Ruger folks at SHOT that the 416 version of the guide gun will be out in the next few months.


Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship
