woodsracer"CASE" Comparison between the .550 Mag and the .600 Overkill???
In THIS PIC, and from my knowledge---the
.550 Magnum is a full length, straight-walled, .460 WBY "basic" case. If that is true, what cartridge is the .600 Overkill based on?

Thanks for your clarification!

jeffeossoplease do a search for the 600 OK..
robgunbuilder did the 600ok
RNS did the 550 magnum and express
I did the load dev and first 550 express
this is a scratch built case... which is essentially a rimmed 600 NE...
something like 235 gr on the 600 and 190 for the 550.
the 550 magnum case an have WORKABLE cases from 460 weatherby, but techincally it's a propietary case, as it's 3" and a full blown webby is slightly less

RobgunbuilderThe .600 Ok is based on the .600NE with a belt added instead of a rim. I get about 225 grs of water on a once fired case.-Rob
