MatthewxAluminum .620 CEB Raptors being run
I called Cutting Edge yesterday to order bullets for my 256 win mag and also ordered .620 Raptors in aluminum. Anoher member had called the day before they said and ordered some. Well between us we have bought the minimum number to have them produced so if anyone wants small numbers (20-50) now would be he time to get in on them. They are not becoming a catalogued item just a special run. Last time I ordered them they took about four weeks to recieve so I am guessing they are that far out now too.

boom stickI am excited to see the results on game and see what kind of velocities you get. Tips are a must with the light bullets. I hope you ordered tips as well. Will be interesting to see velocities at 50 yard intervals up to 200 yards if possible.

56hawkI'm almost tempted to try some of these, but since I burnt out the barrel on my 460 Weatherby shooting aluminum bullets I think I'll pass.
Of course I don't know if it was the aluminum itself, the 118 grains of H-110, or the 4,581 fps muzzle velocity that did it.

boom stickWow! Thanks for the warning. Plasma torch is what you have there. 4th state of matter burned your barrel something good! I don't see there being much advantage pushing these bullets past 4,200 fps.

Holey stinking cat-shit Batman

There's only about three months of the year you could use a load like that in Australia, else you just gonna start too many bush-fires !!!!
Awesome pic.

FjoldBut you don't have to waste time lighting the Barbecue to cook anything that you shoot.
