What is the value of a Kimber African in 505 Gibbs? A friend has one. It has been fired at targets a couple dozen times, but basically is in new condition. My friend tells me he thinks Kimber of Oregon made less than 10 of them.

Heed the words of Winston Smith in Orwell's 1984:

"Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right."

I have owned 4 Kimber 89's (Oregon models) and still have 3. They have all been great rifles.

$5,500-$6,500 is about right, I would think. There have been a lo0t of other 505 Gibbs options that have come along since then, and Oregon Kimbers had a reputation for questionable reliability.
