As I await my Lott I might as well explore stock options. I do favor the look of wood for this rifle. Do the stocks from Accurate Innovations with the aluminum bedding block and titatium wrist pin hold up to the recoil of the Lott? The Lott will only have one recoil lug on it but I could always add another. But could it be bedded in the bedding block with an additional lug? Is it needed?
If not the wood, would I need an additional lug for the McMillan?

You would not need a secondary recoil lug in the McMillan stock.

As for the Accurate Innovations, Ben has told me that his stocks can take the recoil of a .458 Win. Mag. without needing a secondary recoil lug. Check with him as to whether the Lott will require one.

Anyone else? I can spend up to a $1,000 for a wood stock.

Serengetti rifle stocks. You will get the beauty of wood, strength of laminate. They build their stocks for the lott so I am sure they will have something that will work for you.

I have one on a 375 no problem, I have a 416 on a withworth that is only glass bedded. No problems there. did bed my 375 I found out long ago with hs persion stocks it made a differance in accuracy. Glass bed in a alu bedding block must be stronger than cross bolts.
