shooting 577NE (24ga. FH) short You Tube video
Ed Hubel and I built a 24ga.From Hell (577 Nitro Express.) on a H&R Handi Rifle reciever.

He had the innovative concept and did the metal work (Barrel Stubbing) and I followed with the wood work.

I posted two brief videos of shooting it on You Tube: "Brian Shoots" and Brian shoots 2"

Enjoy. Brian

Notice how "flat" the recoil is. The barrel rises only about 3-4 inches under recoil. High straight stalk with a Limbsaver Nitro Large pad. The stock is also cast-off. Ebony caps. Brian

Impressive. What sort of accuracy are you getting and at what distance?

Best group so far is 3 shots into 1.25 inches at 35 yards off the sticks.
N550, 115.5 grains. 700 grain cast bullet. BHN 21. White Label Lube 2500 lube. About 1800 fps.

Yes, Thank you. I have shot some poor groups too. I think that flinching is a factor for me with this cartridge.
I have to do some work off of the bench with a lead sled to see what the full accuracy is.
