Bronse bristle brushes in a damascus barrel?... Login/Join

I have a damascus barreled shotgun and was wondering if the bronse bristle brushes will hurt the barrel. I've been putting the cleaning rod tipped with a bristle brush on my drill and removing the leadding/fouling with it. It removes the leadding/fouling well (especially with some Kroil in the barrel) and while I wouldn't give it a second thought on a modern steel barrel, I was wondering if I'm 'eating away' at my damascus barrel at all or if the bronse brisle brush is harmless to my barrel.

Thanks,
BMG

Never hurt it. Use the same method with my L.C.Smith 10.

Bronze is much softer than even 'Damascus' steel. Don't worry about it.
