As an FYI, my inside source from Douglas Barrels called today and they have received their chambering reamer and gauges for the .375 Ruger.

The dimensions of that reamer will be suspect until Hornady officially releases the SAAMI approved specs.

Hornady said they were contacting all the reamer makers and asking them not to use any of the specs floating around on the internet until officially approved by SAAMI, and that was supposed to happen in June 2007.

We're not there yet. Wink

RIP,

I'm sure Douglas did their homework before ordering. Hornady is putting the stall on to allow Ruger to sell as many factory rifles as they can before people start sacrificing belted magnums at the altar of the DGR Gods. Probably not a bad idea from a marketing stand point to get a supply of working rifles out for people to see and shoot before the shade tree gun plumbers start screwing barrels on and either the rifle or cartridge gets a bad reputation that takes time to put to rest. I emailed CZ to see if they were going to offer it, but no responce yet. I'd like to see it in their 550 medium action that is only made in 7mm Rem mag, or atleast that's what I got from their website.

What about ER Shaw, they offer some wildcats like the 375-338 and 375-8mm mag. The only barrel I've bought from them is the 12 ga rifled blank. How are their rifle barrels?
I emailed them and they have a 375 Ruger reamer. chrome moly barrels are $140
