Why doesn't someone make a SHORT (30-06 length FACTORY cartridge in .375? Just as the .300 Winchester Magnum outperforms the longer .300 H&H, such a cartridge could at least equal the .375 H&H. Most rifle manufacturers make a 30-06 length action their longest action in many versions of their products. A factory .375 short magnum would make .375 H&H ballistics a lot more available. Indy Life is short. Hunt hard.

The 375 Chatfield Taylor is just such a thing. Just need to convince a mfger to chamber it. If you don't like a belt there is also the 375 AR, although it is just a concept at the moment. Cheers, Canuck

In case you're not familiar with the 376 Steyr, Hornady sells factory ammo in 225 and 270 gr Interlocks. You'll have to buy a Steyr rifle or have something else rebarreled and the bolt face slightly opened. "Experience" is the only class you take where the exam comes before the lesson.
